Every year we organise a full programme of outings to interesting sites in Wiltshire or neighbouring counties, where the leader and members share their knowledge of plants and their habitats. Please car share if possible to all of our meetings.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs on our field meetings.

Whiteparish Common & Bentley Wood

In the morning we will seek a variety of ferns in Langley Wood.
Turn north-east off the A36 opposite Earldom’s Lodge at SU 2463 2187 W3W expanded.reconnect.whisker. Almost immediately, on a left-hand bend, turn right into a no-through road. Park along here but do not obstruct access to properties. We shall walk on the other side of the A36 in Earldoms and Glazier’s Copse.
We will then move on to the barn in Bentley Wood for lunch followed by a fern workshop. This will chiefly focus on more common species.
From the Livery Entrance at SU 2392 2965 W3W fillings.unfit.buffoon we will drive through to the barn.
Please be prepared to stay to the end of the session as the gate will be locked. The sites can be very wet and muddy so please have strong footwear.
