Every year we organise a full programme of outings to interesting sites in Wiltshire or neighbouring counties, where the leader and members share their knowledge of plants and their habitats. We also hold residential trips every year, visiting botanical hot-spots all over England and Wales. In winter members and outside speakers give talks and lead walks.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate dogs on our field meetings

 Next Meeting

Greater Tussock-sedge Carex paniculata
Sunday 2nd July 10.30am
Jones's Mill, Pewsey

Leaders: Paul Darby and Jane Brown

Jones's Mill is a rare fen habitat, fed by natural calcareous springs . As well as fen, there is wet woodland, fen meadow, pools and the nascent Salisbury Avon. It is high in botanical interest and supports some species that are very rare in this part of the country. Its fauna is rather special too.

Park near the top of Dursden Lane SU1696 6102 (just north of the railway bridge).  The nearest postcode is SN9 5JN
